Just as many events, we plan and prepare for weeks, months and sometimes years then in a flash of a moment, the event has passed. As we reflect on our experience working with the Peters family, we feel gratitude. Gratitude for family, for life and for memories. So many individuals came together to create an unforgettable experience for the Peters Family and it was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The day flowed along well - girls being readied with perfect makeup, gorgeous hair and breathtaking gowns. Dad putting on his suit. First looks and photos. Gracious and exciting vendors preparing tables and setting flowers. The music, the photo booth, the food, and cakes. All of it was incredible. As we were nearing the start time of the event, the wind invited itself to the party in a big way. Moments before the welcoming speech by the oldest Peters son, Nate, the wind brought its good friend dust to the party for quite the storm! The thing I love about Idaho Event Professionals and the vendors involved is that everyone works together. It is part of our purpose - bringing vendors together to build relationships with each other - to help each other. All hands were on deck and everyone was holding down tables, linens, centerpieces and chargers waiting for the storm to pass. The start time was delayed about 20 minutes and the dust calmed down. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Nate welcomed dad and each daughter to the party in front of the little white chapel at Still Water Hollow. Then each daughter shared a special dance with dad and made a memory box for them to open on their wedding day. This is the moment these girls have dreamed about and the inspiration for this special evening. These girls wanted to have this moment with dad, knowing they won't be able to at their own weddings. Hearts were full. After this special ceremony we invited all of the guests to a very "close" dinner as we had to move all of the tables tight together to keep everyone out of the wind. Nate shared with the guests that the wind was really a blessing because it literally brought everyone closer together to make unforgettable memories - which everyone did. Following a delicious dinner the guests participated in memory activities, enjoyed delicious cake and desserts, played yard games, captured memories in the photo booth, and DANCED! The evening was incredibly special, heart warming, and just what these 3 special girls dreamed it would be. In the words of the oldest daughter, Kaitlin, "What a bittersweet feeling. I'm sad that it's over, but happy that it happened!! I, along with my 2 little sisters, were able to experience an amazing wedding event with our father. We were lucky enough to get all dolled up and create some beautiful memories with many special moments. I never thought I could actually pull it together, not like this anyway. But the Peters family were blessed with over 20 vendors helping us put this together. Everyone and everything was absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone who donated, who came, and thank you for all the prayers. We love you!" What an amazing day for everyone involved! Many people do not know, but the girls' mother is disabled and unable to work due to a spinal cord fusion and gastroparesis (paralysis of the stomach). As we look ahead to the the loss this family will face, it is far reaching - not just emotionally but also financially. If you are able to help, please consider donating to the family at gofundme.com/kelvinpeters. Any little bit will help this amazing family.
