I'M AFRAID!

But being afraid of kites is very rational 

Because they are always being flown by tiny little children on really windy days and the kite is darting around uncontrollably 

and the parent that’s supposedly watching over this kite-bearing child hasn’t looked up from their phone once in the past fifteen minutes 

 

So I’m supposed to just walk past?

as this kite gets wilder and wilder and the child grip begins to loosen 

Not to mention the fact that the kite line is basically invisible so I’ll be strolling along and then an unexpected gust of wind would cause this phantom string to suddenly wrap around my neck pulling my head clean off

The child’s now flying my head across the sky, sobbing hysterically 

My headless body just slumped over on the ground 

The kids parent still probably hasn’t got off the phone to notice 

And that’s it, I’m dead and that poor child is now scarred for life.

Thinking about it, I’ve not seen a kite in years

Where have they gone?
