Kevin F. “Special K” Cofield began life’s journey on June 2, 1971, in Austin, Texas as the older son of Jeffrey and Sheila Cofield.

He attended elementary and middle schools in Virginia and after returning to Texas graduated from Lyndon B. Johnson High School. He continued his studies at Huston-Tillotson University with emphasis in Music. He also attended Barber College and was an exact stylist.

Kevin enjoyed being a disc jockey at KAZI, Austin Urban Festival, and Promotion coordinator at The Humpin People (Predator) while studying Mixed martial arts at Kajukenbo (Fire Dragon).

His entrepreneurship was KC’s Aromatic Incense & Car Freshers and Digital Creator. Music, golf, playing table games with family and people was his joy. He played drums, piano and had a lovely singing voice. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church where he played drums on many occasions.

On March 28, 2003, Kevin married Angelia Y. Robinson and to this union three children were born: Jayden Jeffrey Cofield, student at Texas Tech on a full scholarship; twins: Jaxson Cooper Cofield and Jaila MaKenzie Cofield graduated recently from Manor High School. Jaxson has been awarded scholarship/grants at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the fall. Jaila received her Associates Degree (May 16, 2025) from Austin Community College and will further her education in the fall at The College of Health Care Professionals. Kevin was noted for visiting the schools (varies) his children attended on a regular basis. And while there counseled with many other students who and needed to be heard. Kevin loved his family.

Kevin was a Servant to humankind without recognition or reward but with compassion. He loved serving Seniors, children and to everyone he met. He was NO stranger to anyone.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Angelia Y. Robinson Cofield and three children; Jayden, twins; Jaxson and Jaila. His brother, Gordon (LaShawn)(Virginia) parents, Jeffrey and Sheila Cofield (Virginia). Uncle, Willis G. Hunt II (Edalma), Ida Hunt, grandmother “the apple of his eyes”, Great-Aunt Earline Carter, Eddie Hill, Great-uncle, Herman Hill (Loretta), and Sharon Hill Smith (his cousin-sister). In-laws; Joseph and Maureen Robinson and a host of loving relatives and friends that will always cherish his memories. - “Special K”
