Excerpts from a documentary directed by Felipe Bustos Sierra about factory workers who refuse to carry out repairs on warplane engines in an act of solidarity against the violent military coup in Chile. The engines mysteriously disappear four years later in the middle of the night. The crew was not allowed to film inside the factory and its facilities were eventually completely destroyed before main shooting. I directed these animations, recreating the factory entirely in CG and mixing it with some shots of a similar 1978 model of the truck involved and actors filmed on green screen. Subjectivity was the goal rather than dull realism. The fog symbolizes fading memories from the workers. The movie was part of the Tribeca Film Festival 2014 edition's selection.
