A crisp, clear morning greeted upwards of 175 riders as they journeyed from far and wide to gather at the Town and Country in Stowe Vermont. The 4th annual Leaf Blower Classic was being held today by the Stowe Mountain Bike Club. The Leaf Blower consisted of group rides, for young to old and everyone in between, and a massive family style feast, complete with live music and beer, this was not an event to be missed!
The event is aptly named, being held on one of the most gorgeous weekends for foliage in one of the most scenic towns in Vermont. Group rides explored trails throughout the town of Stowe, with riders reporting distances of up to 25 miles! An ambitious day on the bike indeed, would have been interesting to get the vertical data as well, as I am sure it was impressive...
With no injuries being reported (at least nothing a beer or two couldn't remedy) the turnout was great, and all I saw were smiles for miles. Come join us for the Leaf Blower next year!
