Lillian Blades is a contributing artist for the exhibition Recollection: The Past Is Present. In this video she discusses her influences and the process involved in creating her art work.
Recollection: The Past Is Present visually and thematically references the past while being rooted firmly in the present. This concept connects the art work of Amalia Amaki, Lillian Blades and Beverly Buchanan to the quilts made by African American women on loan from the Mississippi Museum of Art. This exhibition was organized by the Cameron Art Museum.
