Greenhithe Community Hall is situated on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand, and celebrated its centenary (1914-2014) on the weekend of 18/19th October 2014. Greenhithe Village, once a very small community with metal roads and more horses than cars, has now grown into a much larger suburb of Auckland. This video interviews some of the residents whose families lived in the area many years ago and documents their memories of life in the village, Greenhithe School, events at the hall and the Greenhithe voluntary fire brigade.
Filming requested by the Greenhithe Community Trust - Sarah Wuthrich. Celebrations organised by The Greenhithe Residents and Ratepayers and Community Hall Association.
