When Pinchgut Opera approached us to film Julius Caesar, it wasn’t just about recording a performance; it was about capturing a moment.

Working closely with the Pinchgut marketing team, we were commissioned to document the full production for archival purposes, while also producing a high-impact promotional video that could drive real results.

Filmed in the heart of Sydney at the iconic City Recital Hall, we captured the general rehearsal in front of a private audience of patrons. The energy in the room was electric, the performances, the staging, the music, it was all alive and pulsing with emotion. Our job was to bottle that intensity and translate it into a short, cinematic piece that would move people to buy tickets, support the campaign, and experience the show themselves.

With a tight deadline, our team at Abel Productions worked quickly to deliver a final promo within days, just in time for the launch of Pinchgut’s crowdfunding campaign.
