ASERL celebrated Open Access Week 2014 with a talk / Q and A session led by Erin McKiernan.
Erin McKiernan is a researcher working primarily in experimental and theoretical neuroscience. She received her PhD from the University of Arizona, and now works in Mexico at the National Institute of Public Health. The differences in literature access between the US and Mexico started her on her current path of open access advocate. Erin will discuss her personal experiences with lack of access to scholarly literature, publishing in subscription and OA journals, green self-archiving, open peer review, and altmetrics.
