This is the abbreviated version of a 50 minute documentary which tells the tragic story of the D'Arcy Island Leper Colony which existed off the west coast of Canada between 1891 and 1924. The documentary looks into the racism that led to a handful of predominantly Chinese men being left on the island with no one to care for them.
