Set in the late 40's. A man has lost his wife in childbirth, and his son is diagnosed with spinal meningitis. The boy is given only a few years to live, but he is reluctant to die. Unsure of how to deal with this, the father makes a difficult choice. Troubled over his fate, he does what goes against his beliefs - but what he thinks is for the best...
This is a film about choices, about personal suffering and faith. A film about doing the best you can with the hand God dealt you.
