This performance took place in Bottna Church, Sweden, in October 2014. It was part part of a series of art events -Bottna Kulturkyrka. More information (in swedish) at http://www.bottnakulturkyrka.se
The full performance lasted around 26 minutes. The drawing projected on the wall of the church was made in real time on the Drawing Sequencer, a homemade device I have been laborating with since 2001 and have made several versions of. It works by using graphite pencils on paper to make fuller or lesser connections between electronic circuits as the moving arm slips over the surface. By drawing different lines and other shapes around the circle, or by erasing them, the sounds and the rythmic patterns are altered. In this case the machine was directly connected to an analog syntheziser and it was used as a clock to control another analog sequencer/synth. It was also controlling an electroacoustic feedback loop involving the specific ambience of the church.
