Priscilla and Aquila

Pastor Paul Schult

Priscilla and Aquila were minor characters in the book of Acts and the Letters of Paul, and yet Paul singles them out as close friends and fellow workers with Christ. Like Paul they were tentmakers. They took time to mentor and encourage a dynamic young preacher named Apollos who needed a deeper understanding of the Gospel. They used their home to help start churches. There are no dramatic stories about this husband and wife, but it is a great reminder that being a faithful husband and wife, a hard worker, a mature Christian who encourages younger Christian leaders, and a hospitable host, can be powerful ways to serve Jesus Christ!
