In 1973 I teamed up with fellow Manchester Polytechnic student Martin Parr, to photograph the residents of June Street in Salford, twenty houses awaiting demolition. What attracted us was that it had been used in the filming of ITV's Coronation Street. Alive on TV, in reality it was about to be erased from the map. We were curious: which version was the true version?
