The NX file open dialog uses the standard Windows Explorer 'Places Bar'. By default it specifies Recent Places, Desktop, Libraries, Computer and Network.
You may want to make it more useful buy editing the 5 folders displayed.
This can be done using the Windows 'Local Group Policy Editor'.
