In the Spring of 2007, Professor Thomas Goltz and a group of Azerbaijani musicians traveled around the state of Montana, sharing the traditional music of Azerbaijan, called Mugham, with Montana communities. Professor Goltz hired a few of his undergraduate students, new to filmmaking, to capture the experience. In the fall of 2007, Thomas approached Sprout Films with hours of footage in hand, and asked..."can you make a movie out of this?" Sprout Films said yes, and onward we ventured.
