Book artist Jennifer Knowles-McQuistion of Brown Dog Bindery teamed up with Chuck Beard of East Side Story to form the Nashville Limited Edition Club with the goal of publishing collaborations between local authors and artists. The first of those was “The Wolf’s Bane,” written by Betsy Phillips with illustrations by Platetone Printmaking, Paper and Book Arts members Bryce Coatney, Jessica Crouch, Carrie Cox, Megan Kelley and Lesley Patterson-Marx.
Two editions were published: A limited edition with original prints bound in leather by Knowles-McQuistion and encased in a wooden box. Of the run, 30 copies were available for purchase ($300), each signed by the author, artists and others involved in its production. A perfect-bound paperback version with digital prints of the artwork is available at East Side Story ($30).
