In the first part of this clip, you will see a very grainy and dirty 1962 Regular 8mm film fragment.
The flickering in the first part is like this on the original film. Notice how the Avisynth script removes this very well. It's a combination of Deflicker() and grain removing.
In the second part you will see some nice 1966 Francochamps race cars, again filmed on Regular 8mm.
I have improved my special Avisynth film script, sharpening is less 'heavy'.
More about my script:
Please notice that the averaging of 6 frames not only removes the grain but also most of the dirt spots on the film. It also improves the detail reproduction a lot as you can see on the first scene for example.
This was a fast and dry scan. With a wet scan, all film scrathes will be gone.
