Transpacific Sound Paradise with Rob Weisberg, WFMU's Saturday evening "world music" radio show, and Sara Valentine of HONK NYC!, the Big Apple offshoot of Boston's legendary HONK! Festival of activist street bands, teamed up to bring HONK NYC! to WFMU's Monty Hall on October 16, 2014. Six bands with some 70 musicians total played three hours of hysterical marching band music, adorned in warped band uniforms, cavorting riotously around Monty Hall on-stage and off.
