Slideshow and movie presentation of our overnight touring event in Paris, TX. Twenty-four members in 12 cars attended this event. On Saturday, we visited the Lamar County Historical Museum and Confederate General Maxey's restored house, then attended the downtown open house at the city square. After dinner, we had a private wine tasting at the Carriage House Jewelry and Gift Shop Downtown, then proceeded to the hotel for a social. On Sunday, we visited the Evergreen Cemetery to see some unique Texas-themed monuments. After our Evergreen visit, we saw Texas' own Eiffel Tower. Next was a scenic drive to Denison, passing through the Caddo National Grasslands and Lake Bonham along the way. After lunch at Denison, we toured the General Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site.
