STEEP RAIN was conceived as a film project using authentic voices to be projected on large architectural buildings or flat natural features such as cliffs. In 2012 at the Liberty Festival, as part of the opening weekend of the Paralympic Games, STEEP RAIN was projected on to the fly tower of The National Theatre overlooking the Thames. Since then, the piece has been re-shot and a new musical score has been added. The piece is performed by members of the Monday company and all of the recordings were gathered by the company themselves, many by interviewing people in the street.
