Rob Rhyne from MartianCraft helped us open the very first NSNorth on April 19th, 2013. His keynote address was an eye opener to many and, to this day, provides crucial and timeless advice.
A developer and designer of many popular apps, Rob has years of experience as a Mac and iOS developer. At the time of his keynote, his role as CEO of MartianCraft provided him priceless insight into how to grow and elevate your business to new levels and produce great products for the App Store.
Ever since the App Store hung its “Open for Business” sign, a large “indie” trend saw numerous small 1-3 person teams producing apps of incredible quality. Rob realizes now that the App Store, and our customers, are maturing. The same smaller teams are being joined in the store by larger software companies that have vast resources to fund development of their apps. How can small indie shops compete?
Rob wants to share his perspective on how, with a lot of determination and hard work, you can take your business to the next level. You can move beyond the 1-3 person partnership and grow into a scalable, 10-20 person design and development shop that is a successful, self-sustaining operation.
Rob’s talk is aimed at anyone making a living doing what they love: building great Mac and iOS software that helps to improve and enrich the lives of others.
