The ALIZ-E project builds social robots to support children with diabetes. The robots are evaluated across hospitals in Europe as a support tool for young children, and help children understand their conditions and educates children about diabetes management. The robot can engage in different activities with the child, switching between a quiz, a dance game and educational games. For this it relies on an "integrated system", a complex whole of software, hardware and the robot itself, to offer a rich choice of activities.
