This was my entry for the "Wait For Me" Moby music video contest. Given only a month and having a full time job I undertook a very ambitious project of trying to finish this stop motion. I had about 40-some seconds of the birth and first flight when I began. But I thought the music went perfectly well with the images and wanted to proceed regardless. I made up most of the story as I went, organically.
I shot this with a Sony DSLR and a simple 18-70mm zoom lens.
Two other people collaborated on this: artist Michael Brucks, who was the paper bird wrangler, and Chani Petro, who was my editing consultant on the last day of post prod. Thank you both sincerely!
