"The Devil with the Hole-y Glove - Willie Wells & Austin’s Negro League Baseball History," by Eric Robinson
The Negro League baseball history of Central Texas has been called “enigmatic”, “lacking”, and “ignored.” All one has to do is look a little deeper and you will find a history featuring hall-of-famers, historic stadiums, a surprising link to Jackie Robinson, and the devil with the hole-y glove.
Eric works in elementary school education and is a member of SABR (Society for American Baseball Research). His students quickly learn the best way to get him off task is to ask about NASA, baseball, or if Ric Flair could pin John Cena.
