Dancing The Dream documents the second national Native Convocation (later to be called Sacred Circle). This historic gathering takes place in Minaki, Ont. in 1993. The focus of the gathering is the residential schools experience of many First Nations and Inuit people. Torn from home and family by the Canadian government, thousands of children were traumatized for several generations. At the gathering in Minaki, stories are shared, tears are shed, anger is expressed and finally an apology from Primate Michael Peers is offered.
