Since September, the Burnaby Mountain Caretakers, led by indigenous activists, have been blocking survey work on Burnaby Mountain by Texas based pipeline company Kinder Morgan. On Friday, Nov. 15, Kinder Morgan obtained a court order to have the land defenders removed from the site. This video documents their response.
Although police made no move to arrest any of the demonstrators during the rally, they have the power to enforce the injunction at any time. Three days later, on Thursday, Nov. 20, RCMP moved into the encampment to clear the way for Kinder Morgan. Stay tuned for another video report from the injunction enforcement very soon.
