My third outing with the Multiplex Xeno glider. Had a couple of hours on a Dynam Snowbird before this, so I'm very much on my L plates! Lots of time on the FMS flight simulator is helping me a lot. This is Mt. Hollowback just north of Ballarat, Vic, Aus. 20-25km/hr wind. The Xeno seems to glide very well and is quick to respond to my input (I've got the rates dialed down to 65% with 15% expo at the moment) I'm using a Spectrum DX6i which I found has got a glitch in it's elevon programming routine - tore my hair out for a couple of hours before I found a 'work around' solution on RCgroups. The Xeno goes together easily (even for a newbie like me), is cheap to buy and easy to repair. Which is a good thing because I broke it in half the day before be flying it into my leg!!! That sort of taught me that if I'm coming in too fast and high, just friggin' go around again!! There is a few times on the vid I bring it around by the towers for a landing, but I'm too high so I just let it go. This was my first session where all my landings were deliberate!! Yay!
Camera is a GoPro HD on my head.
