This is the staged reading presented by Boom Roasted Productions from November 21st at Monmouth University. Woods Theater. Written by Evan Krachman and directed by TJ Bent. Little Miss Moonachie explores the world of Gail Strickland, a third grade teacher and a returning war veteran. Her transition back to “Normal life”; is extremely difficult as she deals with the loss of her hand and the uncertainty of new technology called digital neural intercoupling into her body. Faced with an overbearing negative mother, a supportive father and horrific by- product of the new tech, Gail struggles to maintain her sanity while dealing with a secret that could ruin her family and ultimately push her into a catatonic state forever. It’s a black comedy dealing with stress and the uncertainty of new bio technology that will become the norm in the future.
