While changes were taking place in the 1970s or 1980s, especially to the Chinese culture and for awhile threatened to destroy it. To Alex Chuang, Chinese culture and its survival is a commitment one lives for. Alex Chuang is an engineer. For twenty years he worked in the aerospace and nuclear engineering industry. He will tell you that he loves engineering. But he loves Chinese culture that much more. So in 1993 he took early retirement from a profession he was trained for to engineer a unique effort to bridge two worlds – America and China.
