The interactive use of the trampoline and game was developed over a 2 week period using Java and Processing. Throughout the festival the experience was split between the mini game contest and a special user experience.
The Game: The user experience game was married with brand images and centered around collecting ink cartridges. A camera was used to calculate the height of the players jump and the corresponding data was sent the video program. The player controlled the height of their jump and attempted to collect the most cartridges.
User Experience: In between the mini game competition festival goers where presented with a special user experience which calculated the height of their jumps and played back video accordingly. This was achieved using a special video program which mapped their movements on the trampoline. Alongside, while the user was in the air their pictures where automatically taken.
