This video provides student insight into what an actual course is like when doing vocational training (VET) during school. It includes information about: how to find out about the course, a typical training day, practical activities and theory components, challenges and how they may have been overcome, impact on SACE, pathways to further education, training and work.
NASSSA courses provide an introduction to the community services (helping industries)
Community Services courses, provide an introduction to the helping industries including children’s services, aged care, disability, mental health and youth services. Students will be required to complete a structured work placement with a community services provider.
Students in Early Childhood Education and Care courses, learn how to support children and their families within child care settings and to be part of a team in implementing appropriate programs for young children. There will be a balance between face to face group learning and structured work placement.
