Hester Cox is a printmaker based in the Yorkshire Dales. I first came across her work several years ago through the vibrant arts community in Nidderdale. My renewed interest in artist collaboration coincided this year with my developing video work and Hester's commission for a new exhibition of work based on the North York Moors currently showing in Danby. Hester’s inspiration is most often derived from the natural landscape, the plants and wildlife that inhabit it and the stories, myths and symbolism associated with them. Many of her ideas for collagraphs and solarplates develop during fell runs across the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria
