Karen Vermeren started the project North Atlantic Ridge during her stay in Iceland in August 2014. This folded book is made after an exhibition of only four hours in Salon Blanc on October 25, 2014. The ephemeral in situ work is prolonged in the process of screenprinting, each copy showing individual differences. The book opens with an image of a window stretched over two floors of the building. A balustrade protects the view. The plate tectonics tear the levels apart.
