The Oral Cancer Awareness Program and Dental Program were started with the the support of Manitoba Dental Association and sponsored by People Corporation. Each year approximately 10% of individuals screened need referrals and several are diagnosed with cancer. The program has also helped many patients with the costs of dental restoration, which has a tremendous impact on patients' lives.
