Earlier this year I shot in Minneapolis for CP and had the good fortune to be assisted by Ted Hall. Ted was so impressed with my little Xproheli gimbal (my "mini-Movi") that he shot this little clip of the Silk and me in action.
At the time the Ronin was still not on the market and the Movi M5 hadn't had its price plummet. Thing is I might still buy the Silk because this little set up is all about being little: it travels easily and is so light it can be carried forever. It runs a GH4 perfectly. The beauty of going with GH4 is you can easily get enough depth of field that wireless follow-focus is not necessary. If you're shooting something interesting enough then the motion more than makes up for the loss of cinematicness.
