By combining synchronous rotation and reciprocal motion of the ceramic piston in a precisely mated ceramic cylinder liner allows the pumps to operate without any valves. One complete piston revolution is required for each suction/discharge cycle and the piston always bottoms to ensure maximum bubble and fluid clearance from the cylinder liner.
