Humberto Gatica is a 16-time Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer, who has worked with dozens of the most acclaimed artists in the music industry.
Seeking a better life, Humberto came to the United States from Chile at the age of 17. After working a series of odd jobs to support himself, he finally got a job as an intern at a recording studio, where he worked his way up to assistant engineer. He got his first big break filling in for an engineer who got sick at the last minute.
After proving his talent, Humberto continued to hone his craft. After getting laid off, he went independent and won his first Grammy with the band, Chicago. He has worked with Quincy Jones, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Jackson, and many other stars.
Humberto is known for his ability to combine the best of the old with the new – analog and digital. He will be overseeing the sound engineering department at ISINA, where he will help top engineers to master their craft, making recording artists sound the best they can
