My friends Bill and Julie Loats put on their fifth annual fall gathering (Loatstober Fest) last weekend. Good beer, good people, good food, good music.
Their friends "Prairie Acre" provided some excellent bluegrass entertainment. http://www.theprairieacre.com
When the band started, everyone cozied-up to the bonfire and chatted with new and old friends.
There were a ton of kids there (seems like everyone is squirting them out these days). Some kept themselves entertained by throwing grass into the fire, stomping out errant flames, roasting marshmallows on huge roasting poles, and other general mayhem. At one point, Joe (Bill and Julie's middle child) discovered that after spending quite a while stomping on fires and kicking the bonfire that his shoes were more than comfortably warm and needed to be removed.
This is a clip around the bonfire during one of the tunes.
