This video demonstrates an approach to electroacoustic composition using SuperCollider and NoteAbilityPro. In addition to being a complete music notation program, NoteAbiliityPro (http://debussy.music.ubc.ca/NoteAbility/) can be used as a sequencer; messages placed on designated network tracks (in this case all of them) are sent via OSC to applications such as Max, Pd, or SuperCollider. In SuperCollider, messages are received via OpenObject, which allows the interpreter to be accessed remotely. The combination of SC and NAPro allows the SuperCollidist to arrange and freely edit code fragments on a timeline, without having to bounce audio and assemble fragments in a conventional sequencer. In the second half of the piece, breakpoint functions are used to control parameters continuously.
