snorkeling at Jellyfish Lake in Palau. The jellyfish are not dangerous as they have lost their ability to sting. It is a very bizaar experience and anyone visiting Palau should do this! We got there very early am, before all the tour groups began to arrive, so the 12 in our group were the only people in the Lake - very nice!
The jellyfish are very soft and range in size from an inch across to about the size of a baseball. There are approx. 4-5 million of them in the lake and they rise from the depths and follow the sun. Fascinatiing stuff!
