An immersive prelude to Monet and Venice—built to pull visitors into Monet’s world before they ever see a painting.
Inside Brooklyn Museum’s rotunda, we used projection mapping, caustic lighting, ambient sound, scent, and a custom score to create a 360°, floor-to-dome Venetian atmosphere. The experience flows through a five-minute day-to-night sequence, echoing Monet’s obsession with light, water, and air.
More than exhibition design, this is Monet’s enveloppe made tangible—an emotional primer that helps visitors understand the artistic and technical innovation behind his Venetian paintings.
