I was watching for Geminids when I noticed a fuzzy patch out of the corner of my eye. It was larger than the moon and shining at about 2nd magnitude, it gradually faded out over the next half hour. This was most likely from the Centaur stage of a satellite launched a couple of hours earlier. The fan shape wasn't obvious without optical aid but was very distinct in binoculars.
The timelapse is a series of 10 second exposures, speeded up 250 times. The camera wasn't driven so the slow drift of the cloud is due to its very high altitude.
