TeleBH 301: TeleBehavioral Health: Remote Teams & Tele-Teaming

Overview
Dr. Whitfield will provide an overview of the history of virtual care and telehealth, as well as clinical teleteaming, up through the present day. She will focus further on describing the benefits and challenges associated with building effective remote teams in medical care. Lastly, she will review approaches to mitigating challenges in sustaining effective remote clinical teams.

Jessica Whitfield, MD, MPH, serves as an Acting Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Core Faculty for the Advancing Integrated Mental Health Solutions (AIMS) Center. She teaches integrated care to a range of learners (from residents to fellows to those practicing in the community), including training in program implementation and quality improvement. She works clinically as a psychiatric consultant for the UW's Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) and the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic
