After 20 years with the NYPD, Connie retired as Detective Sergeant in 2005. She became a cop because she loved the idea of helping people who were in trouble or lost. After the attacks, she was assigned as Detective Bureau morgue supervisor at the Medical Examiner’s office, working to find those who perished and bring them home to their families.
