Far From The Island (Lejos de la Isla) is a feature length documentary that examines the waves of emigration from Cuba to the United States over the past 50 years. It features expert interviews from Scholars and authors Luis Martinez-Fernandez, Victor Andres Triay and Yvonne Conde. Throughout the film, author and poet Cecilia Rodrigues Milanes recites her "Cuban-American Manifesto."
