Voice of Peace is an innovative artistic collaboration between multi award-winning composer Yuval Ron, multi award-winning violinist Scarlet Rivera, and world-renowned spiritual leader Rev. Patrick McCollum.
For the past 30 years, Rev. Patrick McCollum has constructed a one-of-its-kind violin out of pieces of wood from 100 different countries. Blessed at the world’s most sacred sites, the World Peace Violin is a gesture of global unity and harmony.
Rev. Patrick McCollum invited Scarlet Rivera, known the world over for her work with Bob Dylan, to premiere the World Peace Violin at the 2014 Nobel Peace Summit in Atlanta, Ga.
Rivera and McCollum commissioned composer Yuval Ron to create a musical offering commemorating this auspicious occasion. The result was Voice of Peace - a solo work for violin written as a narrative of our communal hopes and aspirations for a more peaceful world.
