Woodward's Community Singers is a free, drop-in, non-auditioned community choir. All voices are invited to join us in song. We say, "EVERYONE DESERVES MUSIC: COME RAISE YOUR VOICE WITH US FOR A DOSE OF COLLECTIVE JOY!"
We build an inclusive community through music from gospel, folk, popular, and contemporary traditions. It's informal, fun, playful and profound.
There are usually 25 to 35 singers each week and always a handful of new singers joining us for the first time. Participants are also welcome to come, drink a cup of tea and just listen.
We create a safe and welcoming space for singers and listeners of all ages (including children), people with mixed abilities, and those in various stages of health recovery. We're a nice bunch of folks from a broad spectrum of backgrounds inclusive of people of colour and folks from the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A. communities. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Come with a friend or come and make new ones.
