An afternoon in the Gulf of Corinth, Greece, observing a single Risso's dolphin in a large group of striped dolphins. This mixed-species group also included a few common dolphins and animals of intermediate pigmentation. We tracked dolphin movements, recorded group size and behaviour, took hundreds of digital photos for individual photo-identification, and timed surfacing intervals of the Risso's dolphin. Dolphin research in the Gulf was conducted between 2009 and 2017, in the context of a long-term study supported by OceanCare.
