This is the second webinar in a series on aging drinking water infrastructure. The first session introduced participants to asset management, a process for understanding what parts of your system are failing and how to prioritize among infrastructure needs. This session continued the conversation with a discussion about how to pay for infrastructure repairs and replacements. While there is no silver bullet regarding how to pay, this session surveyed the financing and funding mechanisms available to communities to upgrade their water infrastructure, and made a pitch for changing the way we talk about the value of water.
This session was hosted by the Environmental Finance Center Network on December 17, 2014, in support of the Sustainable Communities Learning Network.
